This is awesome, you need a full on "Leave it to Beaver" styled ensemble of retro accessories. I imagine next you might need a Woody or perhaps an old 50's chevy pickup... Equally dressed in green. Can't wait to see it when we get out to the campgrounds!
Yeah, we'll slowly pick up period correct gear to go with the thing as we find it. Stove, lantern from the '50's and so on. It's easy to find such things of that vintage in rough shape, much harder if they are in good condition.
Can't do the antique pickup though. I would love one, but have nowhere to park one.
Perhaps resto-mods where originals cannot be obtained?
I mean you do have that whole front side of the house, could look like one of those old timey photos if you get it in the right light and filter. I am sure VWB Clayton could help stage that... 😉

Yes. We're doing that with reproduction lawn chairs as I'm virtually certain we won't ever be able to find the real deal in good enough condition to actually use.

The State’s making the assumption that the vehicle and/or RV have been retired from everyday use. And by the age of 30, most of these machines have indeed been retired, if they made it that long.
However, there are some situations where the daily drivers are that old, or older. This is more likely to happen in smaller towns and more rural areas where vehicles don’t get used up as quickly. One of my relatives owns a large number of vehicles and has collector plates on most of them. I have registrations on 6 – 7? – vehicles; two cars, a pickup, 3 motorcycles and a MoPed, and have a collector plate on only one of them. I probably should have one on another of the motorcycles, and at the time I asked, there was no provision of putting a collector plate on a MoPed. That might have changed by now. Why don’t I? Because I use the 110, the commute car and the pickup on a regular basis. Now, the commute car is the only vehicle I own that’s not over 30 years old, but it’s getting close. Nevertheless, I’m rotating my vehicles enough to make me reconsider getting those plates.
One of our Lodge Brothers tells me that if I put those plates on anything and start to use it that I’ll get pulled over and harassed by the local law enforcement, especially if it’s not during car show season. I called him out on it and of course, an argument ensued as he had proof of someone he knew that was fined for driving a vehicle with collector plates. That’s fine! Run on secondhand information, but you know that the fellow who got fined was likely going to the local watering hole every day in the same vehicle that happened to have collector’s plates on it. He’s not going to bring that up when he bitches to his buddies that the cops nailed him on his collector plate, but the rumors spread anyway. I might do it to a couple of vehicles in the coming years, but not to my pickup or my 110. I use them too much.
I can't claim to be an expert, but as I understand the law, one can drive on collector plates and not just to car shows and the like. Just not, as you mention, as a daily driver or commuter.
If it were me, I'd slap collector plates on everything not a daily driver and call it good. I think doing so would be in keeping with the letter, and the spirit, of the law.
OK, further research tells me two things:
1. The cooler is indeed roughly the same vintage as the trailer it's meant to decorate.
2. It isn't actually Coleman Green. Back then Coleman called its specific color Ice Green.
