We spend 2/3 of our lives acquiring things, and the last 1/3 getting rid of things… Wish I’d understood that much earlier in life.

Yep, that does seem to be the way of things!

Good luck with the hats! I am glad you are using the things that bring you joy to own ☺️

So I’m thinking about this idea of a nice blanket comforter for your bed that has a hat in the center – now a real winner would be one that has a stocking cap design in the center, in keeping with a winter theme. It might even come with a complementary stocking cap, made out of the same material, and even the same design. A matched set, if you will.

That way, you can wear the cap as you sleep in the bed. Kind of like on “A Visit from St. Nicholas” by Clement C. Moore:

“And mamma in her kerchief, and I in my cap,

Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap…”

Then you can also wear the cap outdoors in the winter to keep you warm!

I continue to be astounded that your mama didn't teach you the profound difference between men's hats, and little boy's hats. 😂🐿🤠

You could even dress up that stocking hat of yours with a propeller on top, and it would still be a lil' feller cap! 😈

If it is so cold as to actually need to cover one's ears (the only place I can imagine it to be so in all of Western Washington is the top of Mt. Rainier) the solution is not a stocking cap.

This, is the solution:

Wore the big Jaxonbilt to Fuller's Grocery yesterday, people see that huge brim coming their way and clear the aisles, knowing that there won't be any way for them to get around that hat! So I claim, anyway.
